Distinguished Service Award

Congratlations to Dr Basant Raj Sharma, of the Lumbini Eye Institute, Nepal (seen here with Rose Charities NZ's Pip Neville-Barton - left, and Chairperson Trish Gribbon - right ) for his recent nomination for the prestigious Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Distinguished Service Award. Dr Basant was one of the founders of both the NGO IRIS, and later ROSEcharities. He is a Rose Charities Honourar Consultant and has been one of the main advisors for the Rose Charities Cambodia Eye Clinc which is now one of Camboda's foremost ophthalmic facilities. Congratulations Dr Basant !
