Bloom bags: Camboida. A social enterprise

Bloom Cambodia is a 'Social Enterprise' . Founded by Diana Saw, the concept was, from the start not to be dependent on 'aid / donations / handouts' etc but to create a business which would be self sustaining, provide employment for Cambodians and help reconstruct Cambodia, ravaged relatively recently by war and social unrest. The organizers of Rose Charities very much agree with Diana's concept. In Sri Lanka several hundred small businesses to date have been created the Rose Charities Sri Lanka, micro-credit program in the Kalmunai, Batticaloa, Area for the same purpose. Microcredit is a great concept but it cannot cover every person; there are many who simply are unable to start their own businesses. For those, there is need for fair jobs and employment. Thus Dianas wonderful 'Bloom' project is a model of what can be done to assist in this area. Dianas talent, drive and compassion are both successful and impressive..
